On April 13th, I began another journey over the pond (ie. The Atlantic Ocean) to Dusseldorf, Germany. The purpose for this years visit was yet again two-fold; my first week would be vacation to visit friends while the following weeks would be for business.
My flight was scheduled to leave at 7:51 pm on Saturday evening, so Jennifer and Lizzie dropped me off at the airport after a quick dinner at Max and Erma's. They left around 6:30 or so, and I made my way to the gate to officially begin my journey. As it turns my flight didn't end up leaving until around 9:40 pm. This delay caused me to miss my connecting flight from Washington DC to Munich, Germany. United made up for my missed flight with a nice hotel stay at a very nice resort called Landsdown. It was very fancy. Unfortunately, I was only able to get about 4 hours of sleep before I had to get back to the airport that next morning.
Minus all of the flight problems, this was a pretty uneventful evening...

It is good when it comes to the opportunity to work on a business trip pleasantly to spend time and meet their longtime friends who have not seen for a long time.
